It was all over the news, I seen it on TV while I was in my office. The soviet union has set up a wall in Berlin separating the East and West. People who are trying to escape were shot or blown up. -
Cuban Missle Crisis
Dr. Charles: As I just got done operating on a patient, I saw on the TV screen, Kennedy was giving his speech about the missiles held in Cuba. He was saying that the leader of the Soviet Union was lying about why he was keeping the missiles in Cuba. The leader of the Soviet Union was claiming that the missiles a defense against threating powers. And that we America need to step up to the Soviet Union and not let them over ride us. -
The First Doctor that treated Kennedy
Dr. Charles “Jim” Carrico, who grew up in Denton, was 28 and in his second year as a surgical resident at Parkland the day the president was brought into the hospital at 12:35 p.m. with gunshot wounds to the head and neck. Carrico was the first doctor to treat Kennedy.

Background History of Dr.Carrico
Dr. Carrico became chief of surgery at Harborview Medical Center after coming to Seattle in 1974. He became chairman of the surgery department at the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1983.

JFK rushed to the hospital
I was sitting in my office getting caught up with my paperwork and files and all the sudden I heard a bunch of people rushing in. I came to see what all the commotion was all about. And I saw our president was shot in the head and in the throat. So I got into the operating room to get it ready for the president. There was so much blood and half the back of the his skull was gone. There was nothing I could to save him. -

Dr. Charles : As I was getting home from work, I heard on the Radio JFK making a speech about Cuba, claiming that he will not use military forces on Cuba and will not create a blockade on Cuba. Claiming it was a "Quarantine", -

Dr. Charles: I read a article in the Newspaper while I waiting on my patient, The Soviet Union shot down a U2 spy plane. This lead to an embarrassing conference between the Soviet Union and the U.S. -
Korean War
Dr. Charles: I saw on a TV broadcast while I was in my office, North Korea was invading South Korea with it's communist government. The U.S stepped in to protect South Korea from the communist North Korea. -
Space Race
Dr. Charles: My wife was talking about how Russia was in the lead of the space race by launching the sputnik. She claimed she read it in a newspaper article. -
Reagen visits the wall
I saw on the television, that the president was going to visit the Berlin Wall to make speech and he said "Tear this wall down". It showed commitment to the people of west and east berlin.
