"A Cyborg Manifesto..." Published

Situated Knowledges
Donna Haraway created the term Situated Knowledges in her essay "Situated Knowledges: The Science Question in Feminism and the Privilege of Partial Perspective. The term was created for a specific situation: "in scientific and technological, late-industrial, militarized, racist, and male-dominant societies… in the belly of the monster, in the United States in the late 1980s" as written in her essay. This term still has theoretical consequences that are used in many feminist debates today. -
Simians, Cyborgs, And Women: The Reinvention Of Nature.
Haraway published her collection of ten works written between 1978 and 1989. They discuss how simians, cyborgs, and women have a destabilizing place in western evolutionary biology. It contains theories of immense possibilities for modern feminists, when speaking about a future in a genderless world (with cyborgs as the example). -
