This was a category 4 Hurricane with raging winds. Many properties were damage and wrecked and others were flooded. The mix of rains and winds tore up the Dominican Republic and 16,000 people were evacuate to shelter.

Hurricane Earl
Hurricane Earl largely affected many places. In the Dominican Republic, the storm produced large amounts of rain flooding the island and was responsible for the death of 6 people.

Hurricane Maria
Hurricane Maria was a massive disaster that costed millions in repair. It was tracked as a category 5 hurricane with winds up to 270 km/h. 80 percent of the island was affected by the Hurricane in a way and was in need of shelter and water.

Hurricane Irma
The Dominican Republic was put on high alert for this disaster. Thousands were evacuated although no major damage or casualties were reported. The island was flooded and there were some reports of landslides. Power outages, road blockage, etc. also had an affect on the people.

Hurricane Dorian
The public was provided with food and relief kits. Residents of Abaco evacuated to New Providence Island. A week after the disaster the death toll was 50 with thousands missing. When it made landfall in the Dominican Republic, Hurricane Dorian was a category 1.

Hurricane Fiona
Hurricane Fiona entered the Dominican Republic as a category 1 hurricane. 13,000 people were evacuated to secure areas and 1,500 were spread out among 49 emergency shelters. Hurricane Fiona produced landslides taking down bridges, blocking roads, causing power outages, interrupted telecommunications, and overflowed dams. 2,164 homes were affected and 2 civilians were found dead with 12,000 displaced.

Dominican republic: floods and landslides
This disaster was heartbreaking for many affecting at least 340,000 people in Duarte, Santo Domingo, San José de Ocoa, Barahona, Bahoruco, San Juan de la Maguana, Sánchez Ramírez, Peravia, Azua, Distrito Nacional and San Cristóbal. 34 died, 37,000 were displaced and 7,412 homes were damaged. There were other agricultural loses such as crops and livestock.

Dominican Republic: Floods
Between the 2nd and 4th of June, urban and rural flooding, river overflowing, and landslides occurred in Azua, Barahona, Bahoruco, Dajabón, Elías Piña, Espaillat, Independencia, La Vega, Pedernales, Santiago, and Santiago Rodríguez. Multiple houses were reported damaged or destroyed in areas as well as crops and other civilians suffered major and minor injury and public health scares.

Hurricane Beryl June 2024
Hurricane Beryl passed through the Dominican Republic and did signfigant damage. This hurricane reached category 4 rather quickly and caused damages along beaches and shops. It also caused flooding and landslides in which destroyed homes and caused traffic.
