Many were black people, but there were people of all races involved. Racism is still an issue in our country, and people not believing that was a factor that caused this movement.     Amber Guyger was walking into what she thought was her apartment, late one night after work. Thinking it was her apartment (even though she was on the wrong floor), she walked in and saw a black man on her couch. He stood up, she got scared and shot him, because she thought a black man had broken into her apartment. This was one of the events that led up to the riots and protests in 2020 #BlackLivesMatter.     George Floyd was a man who was arrested, but the policeman held him down on the ground with his knee in his neck. Many people gathered and said that the policeman held him like that for around 8 min. You could hear George saying he couldn't breathe. He later died in the hospital. This led to huge riots all over social media and protests in the streets of big cities. It emphasized the #blacklivesmatter. The main social media platforms used were Facebook and Instagram

    Breonna Taylor was in her apartment and multiple cops came into her apartment looking for suspects and fired about 20 rounds, about 8 bullets hit Breonna and killed her, even though she was not one of the suspects.
