It became a fairly popular topic in the United States and this was sustained by the use of social media and the creation of TikToks defending or attacking. -
Arrest of Jodi Hildebrandt and Ruby Franke
At the end of August, Jodi and Ruby were arrested. Ruby was a popular Youtuber that was arrested for child abuse. She was popular on YouTube for her family vlogging channel, 8 passengers. The disruption was social media flipping from that popularity to sustaining the issues and problems with this case and her arrest.
