    This was started by a young man who set himself on fire and word spread and a revolution was spread by Tunisian youth on Facebook and Twitter. This started a whole bunch of social media fueled revolutions all over the Arab world.
  • Egyptian Revolution

    This was a revolution against the Egyptian government and it was fueled by posts on Facebook and Twitter.
  • Bahraini Uprising

    Facebook and YouTube were the main social media sources used during this uprising.
  • Libyan Revolution

    Social media such as Facebook was stirring up so many to revolt that the government had the internet shut down for few days in hopes of stopping the rebels.
  • Venezuelan protests

    Years later, several protests in Venezuela that were fueled by posts and conversations on Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter took place.
