COVID- this disruption made it so that everything went online. Video calls were used more, as well as other forms of social media to see what other people were up to -

Tik Tok- Due to covid, the social media platform grew. People started to use this platform to get their news rather than listening to the actual news. -

Black Lives Matter- This movement made everyone (no matter their stance) take to social media to voice their opinions. This effected all types of social media and changed the way that people felt comfortable in sharing their political opinions online. -

Gaza- This is a similar situation to the BLM movement. People are voicing their opinions loudly on social media and (at least on my feed) going as far to say "if you dont agree with me, we aren't friends- unfollow me". It is a change from what we have normally seen online
