The movement was popularized on social media platforms like Facebook, and more notably Twitter. The tactics used were to use the hashtag to highlight continued injustices that African Americans faced in America.

    The ALS Ice bucket challenge was a challenge aimed to raise awareness for ALS disease. Through the use of hastags, and notable video's of different personalities getting ice dumped on them, and then nominating other people, ALS disease was given more attention and an incredible influx of donations/funds. The main social media platforms used were Youtube and Twitter. The tactics used where to film yourself getting ice water dumped on you, and then nominating others to do the same.

The tactic used was to use the hashtag as a means to support Colin, and his right to freely express himself, along with highlighting the oppression against African Americans

    Women all over the world communicated and organized a woman's march in response to Donald Trump's controversial comments about woman. It was the largest single day protest in history, and was largely facilitated on platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube. The tactics used were to use social media to organize different marches in response to Trump. Along with this, the tactics aimed to influence and educate individuals on the harm of his rhetoric in the context of society.

The tactic used during this disruption were people going on Twitter and using the hashtag #MeToo as a means to draw attention to how prevalent the issue is/was
