This revolution happened with the people of Tunisian fought against their government for their rights. SM played a huge role in this because these were places where the people could protest openly. SM is giving people across the globe a voice, a chance to voice their opinions. -
Streaming
Not sure if you would call it disruptive, but because of new streaming and media sites such as Netflix and Hulu, caused the bankruptcy of business such as Hollywood Video and Blockbuster. The SM uses are usually on phones, laptops, and now TV's are coming programmed with those apps. -
Terrorism
The Boston Marathon bombing is when terrorist started to really use social media as a way to recruit terrorists. They use social media to advertise and send messages to young people to get them to do work for them. There have been several terrorist attacks since, the Paris bombing for example. It gets easier and easier to be able to reach people on social media. -
2014 Kiev Riots
These riots were in protest to anti protest laws. Violence struck between citizens and police officers. Millions of people across the world heard and support these riots through social media and the riots were planned by using social media. -
2016 Elections

SM is helping citizens bash on their president and not support him.
