Syphilis
Syphilis was carried from the Americas to Europe during one of Columbus' voyages during the Colombian exchange. It was a common New world disease and had killed many in Europe during 1494. It eventually made its way to Russia and Africa as well.

Influenza
It came from the European explorers and colonists, most likely brought because of the pigs that were carried on the ships. Many crew members had become sick and brought the disease into he Americas making it a common Old World disease.

Malaria
Europeans suffered from this disease, but some populations had developed partial resistance to it when they brought it to the Americas most of the people infected did not survive. In Africa, resistance to malaria was associated the genetics among sub-Saharan Africans and their descendants. This was a common Old World disease.

Aztec/Inca Smallpox
An infected soldier in Cortés's army, spreads small pox throughout Tenochtitlan, infecting half the population in the Aztecs. Later smallpox strike the Inca empire, killing more than 200,000 people in 1525. Smallpox was a deadly diseases brought to the New World by travelers from the Old World.
