LLEHCPA signed into law by President Barack Obama. The bill is oficially known as the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act. (Matthew Shephard and James Byrd were hate crime victims because of their sexuality and race, respectively.) -
