    The Committees of Correspondence were used to address particular problems. Once the Independence was won the Committees were disbanded.

    This was a document written by the colonists stating the Stamp Act was unconstitutional.

    Every representative from every state (except Georgia) came and met together to organize a resistance to the British crown. This was called the Continental congress

    This continental congress is the upgraded version of the 1st continental congress.

    The Olive Branch Petition was an attempt to assert the colonists' rights while still staying loyal to the king.

    He contributed to the American revolution in 1776 by helping draft the Declaration of Independence.
  • The French Alliance

    The French and American governments signed the Treaty of Alliance and the Treaty of Amity and Commerce
  • The Treaty of Paris

    This treaty ended the American Revolutionary War
