Andrew Jackson was born on March 15, 1779. His parents were Andrew and Elizabeth Hutchinson Jackson. -
Jackson enlists in the Revolutionary Army
Jackson joined the army at age 13. With his brother Robert Jackson who later died of heat exhaustion at the Battle of Stono Ferry. -
Battle of Horseshoe Bend
The Battle of Horseshoebend was fought in central Alabama during the War of 1812. This battle was fought between the Tennessee Milita with 100 "creek" soldiers and 1,000 "creek soldiers with 350 women and children. The 1,000 creeks were trying to regain ground taken over by the Amereicans. in the end, 557 warriors died on the battlefield and an estimated 250 to 300 drowned or were shot trying to cross the river. Only 49 Tennessee Militia men died that day, and another 154 were wounded. -

The Battle of New Orleans was a battle due to slow comunication. The battle ended in 30 minutes with few american deaths. -
Election of 1824
The election of 1824 was the corrupt bargin. Adams won because he had Clay, the speaker of the house, get votes for him. -
Election of 1828
This election was won by Jackson. He had a landslide victory, in the electoral vote. Jackson carried New York and Pennsylvania a well as the eintire west and south. -
Indian Removal Act
This act took all the Native Americans out of Georgia. This led to the Trail of Tears and the hatred of many a Indian Tribe. All the Indians were mived West of the Mississippi to Oklahoma. -
Worcester vs. Georgia
Worcester vs. Georgia was a court case between the state of Georgia and Samuel Austin Worcester. Worcester was told that to continue living in Cherokee Nation he must obtain a license from the state. Georgia convicted Worcester then he took the case to surpreme court saying that Georgia could not do that. In the end it was decided that Georgia did not have the authority to pass the license law and therefore convict Worcester of that law. -
Nullification Crisis
The Nullification Crisis was do to high tariffs being passed in the North. Well these taxes hurt trading in the South because forgin ships weren't coming ion to port because there was nothing to deliver so therefore the ships couldn't pick up any of the cotton and other goods and send them to be sold in Europe. The South threated to secede and only till Henery Clay lifited to tax till South Cafrlina stop the threat. -
Bank War
"I will kill it" Is was Jackson said. The bank, run by Nicholas Biddle, ended up being a waqy for the rich to make money. Jackson said that that bank had to much power because it would be able to choose who got loans and who didn't.
