    My younger brother was born. I also have an older brother who I played with all the time until he went to school. Then I made an imaginary friend until my younger brother came along.

    Start the beginning of my school years and the beginnning of my reading hobby. My mom would take me to the library and we would come home with a bag full of children's books that I would finish that day. She said I had to slow down because we couldn't make a library trip everyday.

    I joined my first team at the Y and played basketball. I loved to play and even got my parents to get me a hoop in the backyeard

    I decided to hang out with boys during my younger years. I was a tomboy and played sports with the guys during recess. I never really associated with the girls, possibly because I had brothers and wrestled with them and rough housed rather than play with dolls

    I started playing with my neighbors after school. We would play red rover and we started a club

    Middle Childhood

  • 1st soccer team- Biosocial

    I joined my first soccer team after just practicing with my brother's team because my dad was the coach. I kept improving my motor coordination and social skills

  • Participate in Spelling Bee- Cognitive

    I was runner's up in my first spelling bee
  • Switched Schools- Cognitive/Psychosocial

    I switched schools in the 6th grade because my mom wanted the best education for me. I switched to another public school with a better science lab. I made new friends from completely different groups than before. I started to hang out with the girls because the boys were not so accepting of a tomboy.

    I confirmed my Catholic faith in the 8th grade

    I experienced menarche at 13. I got it right before gym class

    Started at my first public school where the class size was bigger than 30. A little bit of a culture shock but I adjusted

    I started hanging out with girls more often and made some friends that I still hang out with today

  • Collegiate Soccer

    I played and was captain of the college soccer team. These four years are the last that I will play for an official team

    Started my college career at Kalamzoo College majoring in biology with the intent to go to medical school after

    I was a resident's assistant in college.

    I studied abroad in Spain and had the opportunity to travel Europe and enjoy the food and culture

    Got my first "adult" job as a Nurse's Aide so I can get my hours in order to apply to PA school

    In my first serious relationship since high school. All my other boyfriends I knew weren't the one, but this one could be.

    Hopefully I will get into the program I want and start school to become a physician's assistant

    Hopefully I will get a job right away after I graduate

    If I stay with my boyfriend now I hope we get married eventually and have children

    Before my kids are too old and uprooting them from school being an issue I would like to move out of state for a while to see what it is like out there

    I would move back to Michigan to help my parents as they get older. This way I won't have to fly when they start having more surgeries

    I would like to retire and just volunteer and/or get a part-time job doing something I really enjoy

    I would keep reading challenging books to maintain my brain use

    I would join exercise classes in order to keep my blood pressure low because hypertension runs in my family

    I would stop driving because my reaction times and sense are all decreasing and I do not want to be a hazard or nuisance on the road
