My father influenced me since my first year of life and trough my teenage year. He always spoke to me on English. -
Early Beginnings
When I was little, I was in a child care of a bilingual teacher, Mrs. Smith. She gave me a solid base in English as a second language education. -
Cruise Trip
In the year 1997 I went to a cruise with my family, all the people there was English speakers. I really could understand what they said so I motivated myself to start with the English. I started speaking English making a lot of mistakes but that help me to improve my English. -
Family influenced
In this year my family came from Ohio. My cousin Cindy doesn’t wanted to speak to me in English. Cindy was very fluent with the language so she taught me not to be afraid of speaking English. That year I learned lots of things. -
Making the right desicions
On middle school I had excellent grades. I was motivated to start watching movies in English using the subtitles to make connection and understand. I have to admit that watching lots of movies in English make a huge difference. -
Advance English
When I was on High School I decided to take Advance English with Mrs. Rivera, she was an excellent teacher. I lose my fears and I learned a lot of things. I decided to read books in English and always have a dictionary with me, this help me a lot. -
First Job Experience
This year was my first working experience on El Despertar Bilingual School. This was a challenge for me. This year was one of academic growth. I learned as much as my student did and was a wonderful experience. -
Sagrado Corazón
Now I continue studying English on the Sagrado Corazón. I am doing certification for be a certificate bilingual teacher, this is a big challenge for me and is really hard but I really want to improve my Second language because I really like it. I want to learn new things and I don’t want to lose my time.
