1764 Sugar Act
A law that put a tax on coffee, loth, wine, and sugar. Also gave British ships writs of assistance which was a serch warrent to go and search other ships for smuggling. -
1765 Stamp Act
This act put a taxon every piece of paper coing into the colonies. Made colonists angry so they bought 1 big piece of paper andfolded it for the newspaper. -
1766 Declaratory Act
An act to belittle the colonies, bascicly reminded them that the King and Parliment were in control -
1767 Townshed Act
Placed a tax on tea, paper, glass, and coloring for paints. Colonists boycotted. Eventually it was repealled except for the tax on tea. -
1773 Tea Act
This act required all Colonists to buy tea only from the East India Company. Made colonists so angry that they dumped all the tea in the Boston Harbour, Boston Tea Party. -
1774 Quartering Act
Forced the colonial people to house, feed, bathe, and clothe the ritish Soldiers of their own expense. -
1774 Intolerable Acts
The British were furious with the colonies and decided to punish them. They closed the Boston Harbour, denied their freedom to assemble,vmade trials for law enforcecment in Britian, and made the Quartering Act.
