    From the time I was 3 months until I was 4 years old, I was enrolled in the Paint Creek Childcare. As the FCS teacher, my mom started the childcare as a lab for her students and for the convenience of the Paint Creek ISD teachers.

    During this time, 4-H began to mold me into the person I am today. We competed in all sorts of events that related to family life, nutrtion, and textiles.
  • Babysitting = Learning Responsibilites

    Since I was 13 or younger, I was able to care for other children and learn the different responsiblities I would have. My mom would teach me about the different age groups and what each age group enjoys doing so that we would have fun activities during the day.
  • Texas 4-H Council = Introduced to the College of Human Sciences

    Texas 4-H Council = Introduced to the College of Human Sciences
    While serving on Texas 4-H Council, I had the opportunity to visit with the students in the College of Human Sciences at Texas Tech University. I knew that my mom has a degree in Homeconomics, so I wanted to know more about the degree and what it would require. After that day, I had a lot of motivaiton to become a Texas Tech Red Raider studying FCS.

    Making it to my "dream college" officiated my decision to become a Texas Tech University graduate with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences.
