Kennedy fufilled his bold pledge of being the first to put a man on the moon. Neil Armstrong was the first man to step foot on the moon; "One small step for man, one giant leap for man-kind." -

An angry protesting at Kent State College turned into an open fire by the troops. The troops shot 4 people to death and wounded many other civilians at the rally. -

With the fall of the South Vietnam government, this resulted in the escape of many Vietnamese refugees. These people fled by boat to Indochina. -
Watergate scandal
Burglars broke into the Watergate building at Democrat Headquarters. President Nixon tried to cover up the burglary, however the truth was revealed. This lead to the first presidential resignation. President Nixon was removed from office. -

George H. W. Bush
President George H. W. Bush's objective and promise was to create a "kinder, gentler" America. Tension from the Cold War was coming to an end, which allowed President Bush to obtain more freedom. Her promised no-taxes, however failed to fufill his promise in order to balance the federal budget. -

The first president with African American decent. President Obama entered presidency facing the challenges of a slow economy with high unemployment. Obama pushed for the bail-out plan for the Detroit auto industry, which was succesful. -
Osama bin Laden
President Obama ordered an operation that successfully captured former Al-queda leader, Osama Bin Laden, who's believed to be responsible for 9/11. Hours later, Osama Bin Laden was assasignated and burried at sea.
