Percy Spencer and his invention was an accident! Spencer worked for a company named Raytheon, developing microwave radar transmitters during World War II. One day in 1945, he noticed that a candy bar he had in his pocket was starting to melt. -

First credit card introduced (the Diners Club)
February 1950. McNamara went to Major's Cabin Grill with his partner Ralph Schneider. When the bill arrived, McNamara paid with a small cardboard card, known today as a Diners Club® Card. This event was hailed as the "First Supper," paving the way for the world's first multipurpose charge card. -
The first TV remote control
The first TV remote control was invented in 1950 by Zenith Radio Corporation. It was called the lazy bone. But it wasn’t a wireless remote. It was connected by a cable to the TV .The lazy bone was able to change channels and it could also turn a TV on and off. People could now sit down and control their TV. But people didn’t like it because they tripped on the cable. I did not find any lawsuits. -
Car Seat Belts Introduced
The now-defunct manufacturer Nash includes seat belts in its Statesman and Ambassador models. The general public isn’t all that excited about the development, however, and seat belts continue to be nonstandard for decades to come. -
the color TV was introduced
In 1951 Peter Carl Gold mark invented the colored TV. At first when the colored TV came out, no one really bought it. It took some time for people to buy them. The first colored TV program was called premier. A couple days after that another colored show came out. It was called “The world is ours”. I was not able to find any lawsuits. -
The first video tape recorder
In 1951 Charles Ginsburg invented the video tape recorder. The videotape recorder captured images from TV. The information the videotape recorder captured was saved on a magnetic tape. Later on the first sold videotape recorder cost $50,000 in 1956. People who bought used it for all types of reasons. The negative effects were the cost. 50k was a lot of money. I dint find any lawsuits. -
