Group of colonists disguise themselves as natives and board a British ship and throw hundreds of crates of tea overboard as an act of defiance towards the unfair taxation. -
Declaration of Independence
The colonies sign the declaration of independence, which declares themselves as their won autonomous country, separate from Britain. -
