Arriving in the Islands
After several months and a few years, Darwin and the rest of the HMS Beagle arrived at the Galapagos Islands, where Darwin was amazed at the genetic diversity shown between the various species with examples being the finches, turtles, and iguanas having different traits compared to the ones Darwin had seen back in England. -
Going to Australia
After leaving the islands, the HMS Beagle went to Australia, landing on the Sydney Cove, where Darwin saw several marsupials and was curious as to why there was a complete different set of mammals in this territory than in Europe. -
Returning home
After other stops in places such as Cape Town, Africa and Mauritius off the coast of Madagascar, Darwin returned home to England with several pieces of evidence needed for proving his theory of evolution.
