Darwin decides to write a book
Darwin is very exited about his observations. "It then dawned on me that I might perhaps write a book on the geology of the various countries visited, and this made me thrill with delight." -

Darwin explore the tropical rain forests of Brazil. "Here I first saw a tropical forest in all its sublime grandeur." He is very exited and surprised. "I have been wandering by myself in a Brazilian forest: Among the multitude, it is hard to say what set of objects are most striking; the general luxuriance of the vegetation bears the victory, the elegance of the grasses, the novelty of the parasitic plants, the beauty of the flowers. -

Darwin is intrigued by the fossils that he sees. He believes that they are new. -

Darwin finds the Islands "Barren and Desolate". He finds some fossils. -

Darwin arrives at the fertile lowland areas, and is appalled by the independence of life. -

Darwin studies coral reefs to test his theory of atoll formation. -
