Guard duty
Went on guard at 4:30pm. MY post waas #4. it it was situated upn top of th hill behind the picket line about a twenty minut walk. From the company street. this is my first time for actual guard duty. it was raining when we went on guard. -
Drill time
In the morning we Drilled corporal averbackers people went home .and at night we went over to central park -

i was kitchen police, wrote letters. had or pictures takenin our police uniforms. started to rain about 6:30pm. I went back to camp and drilled for about 10 hours -
TRENCH FOOT
trench foot condition caused by pranged. exposure. to damp, cold, unsanitary conditions, it can take three to six months to fully recover. -

From october 15 to november 5. all we did was drill. on November1 1917, governer whiteman of new york state inspected the camp. Harry willard left ona ten- day furlough. worked around the company street. we pulled tree stumps around our company street. -
