Headright System
The Headright system was incorporated for people who where willing to settle in the colonies, and they would be granted land legally. This impacted Georgia because the people wanted land and wanted to settle in the "New World" so the population grew rapidly. Gave 200 acres to the head male and an additional 50 acres to every other family members -
University of Georgia
When the University of Georgia was the first university to be a state-supported university. This affected Georgia because it allowed for everyone to learn. -
Louisville
Louisville was named after the French king at the time,
Louis XVI. This impacted Georgia by people being able to grow more cash crops such as cotton and tobacco. -

Cotton Gin
The Cotton Gin was invented by Eli Whitney and help people greatly .The Cotton Gin Impacted Georgia GREATLY because the cotton gin allowed people to produce cotton with no seeds in them 50 times faster than by hand. -
Yazoo Land Fraud
Georgia legislation gave permission to 4 specific companies to buy land for VERY cheap prices. This impacted Georgia because these companies sold back the land to the government for very high prices and georgias government had to buy it back. -
Land Lottery
The Land Lottery was incorporated to make money because the people could buy a ticket and get land, or get nothing at all. This impacted Georgia because the wealthy people bought tickets and got alot of land, but also gave a chance to the lower class people to get land too. -
Railroads
The Railroad was invented because people transporting goods would be too slow and people would get stopped by natural things like rain and mud. This had an impact in Georgia because people could get from Point A to Point B much faster than they where able to. -
Baptist/Methodist (Georgia Baptist Convention)
The Georgia Baptist convention was a convention where baptist people united and shared what they believed. These people liked to have belief like Baptism and Methodism. The Methodist and Baptism Churches united people who had the same belief, and impacted Georgia greatly because all people had something they could beleive in and alot of people shared the same belief. -
