Kicked out of the school
Daniel was kicked out of his school and put in a jewish school. His teacher from his old school was really mean to him so he kicked him and had to leave. -
The Kristallnacht
There where people braking in to Daniel's fathers store. People were braking windows and burning down the synagogues. -
Uncle Peter died
Daniel and his family got a package with uncle Peters ashes in it. He was arrested two years before that for a parking ticket eight years earlier. -
Horror at the hostible
The Germans were evacuating the hospital and Daniel's grandma was a patent there. The Germans were throwing babies out the windows and pushed people out if they could walk. Daniel found his grandma at his apartment. -
Hunger strike
The works at a factory when't on a strike because the people were fired. They wouldn't work until they rehired them. The factory rehired them and they did. -
Meeting Rosa
The first time Daniel met Rosa was when Erika burst in when her family was delousing them selfs. Rosa saw that they were doing this so she left. -
getting captured
The Germans were taking people from their homes. Daniel and Friedrich were going to hide in a basement in a bakery. Friedrich went first at night and then Daniel but he was spotted and was taken to a camp. -
getting to the camp
Daniel finds his father but not his sister or mother. They seperate people in two groups Daniel and his father are in the same group. The Germans change the Jews in prison clothes and shave them and cut them. Daniel finds his father after all of it and they think his mother and sister are dead. -
taking pictures of the fire pit
Daniel had to take pictures to get the Russians help save them. A guard toke Daniel and his father to get alcohol to put in the fire pit with dead bodies. Daniel toke a cupol pictures of it and gave the camera to the guard and went back to the camp. -
leaving the camp
They all had to leave because the Russians where close so they left. Daniel and his father helped a boy named Peter. The Jews had to march for days and a lot of people died because of it. They eventually came to train and get warm clothes and are at Buchenwald.
