    On March 28th, 1944, Daniel Clement Dennett III was born in Boston, Massachusetts. His father was Daniel Clement Dennett Jr who worked of the Office of Strategic Services and his mother Ruth Marjorie who was an English teacher.

    In 1962, Dennett married Susan Bell. Over their lifetime, they had two children which later led to six grandchildren.
