Cog
Daniel Dennett was a part of a team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where they were constructing a human-like robot named Cog. The Cog project was designed to build a robot that has human-like sensory capabilities as well as interaction capabilities. Cog is looked at as one of the first steps towards artificial intelligence. -
Breaking the Spell
Daniel Dennett published a book called "Breaking the Spell" in 2006, where he argues that religion is a natural phenomenon. This sparked a lot of controversy in the Catholic religion due to him mentioning that he wants to send the wine received in holy communion to a DNA lab, and then compares the sharing of the body of Christ to Cannibalism. -
