French and Indian war
The French Indian War was one of a series of wars between the British and French starting as early as the 1600s. The French Indian War took place from 1754 to 1763. In the 1750s, France and Britain were fighting in Europe. -
Stamp Act
The stamp act was passed by the british parliment on Mar. 22 1765. Colonist newspapers, legal documents, and many other printed materials had to be stamped to show a tax was paid. Most colonists strongly objected to the Stamp Act. People against the Stamp Act had a slogan "NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION". -
Quartering Act
The Quartering Act is enacted to provied British troops with shelter and food.In March 1765, Parliament passed the Quartering Act to address the practical concerns of such a troop deployment.This law was made in 1766. -
Boston Tea Party
In 1773 many colonists were not happy of the colonial tea trade. The event, Boston Tea Party, Patriots assault the British merchant ships and dumped 342 chests of tea over the ship. -
Second Continetal Congress
