In the 1980-1981 NFL playoffs, the Cowboys entered as a Wild card team after having a 12-4 season. In the first round they paid back to the team they lost last year after beating the Rams. Then in the divisional round they won a shootout with the Falcons 30-27. In the NFC championship their hopes were shot down after losing to their rival the Philidalphia Eagles. -

The Push for a Ring
In their first game in the playoffs they beat their division rivals the Philidalphia Eagles 34-10. Then they beat the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship by a score of 30-20. Then in the super bowl they knocked off the Bills by a score of 52- 17. Leaders of the team included quarterback Troy Aikman and Runningback Emmit Smith -
Quick Turnaround
Just 3 years after having one of the worst seasons in franchise history, the Cowboys put together one of the best rosters in the NFL finishing with a regular season record of 13-3. -

After creating a powerhouse team in the league, the Cowboys go on a winning tear and win 2 super bowls in a row to once again establish themselves in the league. -

With the Franchise Stars Deion Sanders and Troy Aikman, The Cowboys found themselves once again at the top of the league winning yet another super bowl after beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-17. -
Nowhere to go but down
After seeing the Cowboys in their absolute prime, there was a down year in 1997 after seeing a season filled with injuries, drug related incidents, and just a lot of their players aging let to a 6-10 dissapointing season -
Barry says goodbye
In 1998 Barry Switzer resignes as the head coach and was replaced by Cahn Gailey. -
Cahn Gailey Gets a chance
After Barry Switzer resigned, Cahn Gailey was called into office with big shoes to fill for the 1999 season with high expectations. -
Good but not good enough
Cahn reversed the 6-10 nightmare season from before and turned it into a 10-6 season and a NFC championship. But was not able to give them a super bowl. After his short time as a head coach he was fired in 1999. -
Next in line
After the short coaching time of Cahn Gailey, Dave Campo was hired as the next head coach -
Not getting the job done
Dave Campo did nothing terrible but he was not building a team that was competing in the NFC. After 3 years of having a record of 5-11 he was out of the league after only 6 years with the franchise. -
How will Jerry respond
After having multiple bad seasons Jerry was forced to make a move that would get the team back on the right tracks. He pulled Bill Parcels out of retirement and Bill led the team to a good record of 10-6 but could not find success in the postseason. -
Wade Phillips
Wade Phillips replaces Bill as the head coach and leads the Cowboys to their 16th NFC championship. But could not win the super bowl due to the stacked New York Giants. -

With the 9th pick in the 2011 NFL draft, the Cowboys picked Tyron Smith one of the best NFL Offensive tackles -
Years of dissapointment
The last 10 years have brought nothing but dispair and sorrow for the Cowboys fan as each year they get their hopes up just to get dissapointed each year. -
Another Year of dissapointment
After a good regular season, the Cowboys once again fall short of making a succesful playoff run in the postseason after losing to the 49ers 12-19 in the divisional round.
