Daisy Love

  • Daisy was born

    Daisy was born
Daisy Love came into this world bright and early at 7 am with a head full of gorgeous blonde hair and a beautiful freckly face.
  • Daisy's First Diagnosis

Daisy was diagnosed with a childhood kidney cancer called Stage 3 Wilm's Tumor. She had a football sized tumor in her abdomen.
  • NED

After 8 months of chemotherapy and radiation, Daisy was considered No Evidence of Disease.
  • Hawaii!

    Hawaii!
To celebrate Daisy being cancer free, we took a month long vacation to Hawaii. While in Hawaii, Daisy started complaining of stomach pain. The doctor in Hawaii told us to go straight to our oncologist when we got home.
  • Daisy's Second Diagnosis

Not even two months after being considered cancer free, Daisy relapsed with several tumors in her abdomen.
  • NED #2

After 8 more months of even harsher chemotherapy and radiation, Daisy was considered cancer free for the second time at just 6 years old.
  • Daisy's Third Diagnosis

On her one year out-of-treatment scans, several golf ball sized tumors were found in Daisy's abdomen. The doctors said this if this round of treatment did not work, there was virtually nothing else they could do. Daisy began treatment once more.
  • Israel

The frontrunner in Wilm's Tumor Research is a pediatric oncologist located in Israel. Daisy was accepted in his successful clinical trial so we moved to Israel for 3 months so she could get the treatment.
  • Daisy's Fourth Diagnosis

Back from Israel, it was discovered the clinical trial did not work and Daisy had two inoperable tumors in her abdomen. There was nothing much more they could do. She received chemotherapy for around 30 days straight before going home for the last time.
  • Daisy's Death

Daisy let us all know she was okay when she whispered, "That's Awesome," before passing peacefully in her sleep and eternally beating cancer. Until we meet again little sis.
