    Ivan the Terrible had a traumatic childhood and that had an effect on his rule. He fought alot of foolish wars and killed his own son! He came to power on1547 and he died on 1584.Ivan was the first true Czar.

    Mikhail was partly chosen because of his distant relationship to earlier Tsarina Anastasia.He was in power until he died in 1645.
  • Sofia Alexeevna

    Sofia came to power in 1682 and the first education estamblishment was made during her rule. Seven years later she died. She ruled from 1682 to 1689
  • Peter the Great

    In 1696 Peter became a Czar. One of the great things he did was he founded St Petersburg but with alot of man power because they didnt have tools or the natural recourses. He later died in 1725 but people still remember him for this great city.

    Catherine the Great was also a remembered Csar because she expanded on Russia alot. She provided hospitals and schools too. Her reign was ended in 1796.
  • Nicholas I

    Nicholas inherited the throne from his brother Alexander I. He also lead the Russian army to an unsuccessful Crimean War But he defeated the Ottaman Empire. He later died in rule is later ended in 1855.
  • Alexander II

    This Czar was the one responsible for alot reforms in Russia. He freed the serfs and also promoted the universities.He ruled from 1818 to 1881.
  • Nicholas II

    During Nicholas' rule Russia experienced an economic and military collapse. Russia was also humiliated when the lost the Russso-Japenese War. He ruled from 1868 to 1918.
  • Alexander III

    Alexander III was a little shaken by his fathers death and so he totally abandonded his fathers plans of granting the constitution.He encouraged the trade and industry. His reign lasted from 1881 to 1894.
