According to David Jaffee, Virginia had established an agrarian society with expensive taste. Virginia also had much inspiration from European art and culture due to most of the population being British settlers. -

In New England, culture was centralized on separation within the Church and State. Many adhered to Puritan lifestyle due to many of the British settlers being Christian. -

Within this time period, the fur trade was able to incorporate European cultural influence throughout this region. This was due to interaction between the Aboriginal populations along with the French colonists. -

Hispaniola (1500-1750)
Despite French colonizing, much of the culture in Hispaniola during this time period, was still inspired by the Taino and other Indigenous people. The Taino were very prominent in the Caribbean during this time, especially in Hispaniola. Many participated in spiritual activities. -
Barbados (1750-1850)
The British were in power of Barbados and slavery was abundant. Due to these factors, some Western African culture was stripped away from the slaves. Much of the culture was broadly inspired by Western African culture (due to the importation of slaves) and European culture (due to slave owning). -
Upper Canada (1750-1850)
Loyalism was a huge factor in culture during this time due to colonists from the Americas settling in. They decided to settle in a place where the British were in control. -
French India (1750-1850)
Much of the influence was on language, many Indians during the time began to speak French. In addition, some Indians converted to Christianity. -
French Guiana (1750-1850)
French Guiana culture was infused with European culture due to the French and Dutch settlers. They also had some influence from the Portuguese from when they were on an expedition. Much of the culture was dominated with African influence with European aspects. -
India under the British Raj (1850-1990)
Much of Indian culture was influenced heavily on religious based separatism. More specifically, Islamic groups and Hindu groups arose against the British raj. -
French Tunisia (1850-1990)
Along with the rise of nationalism during this peropd, the French did have some impact on the Tunisian culture. Many native Tunisians began to speak French and adopt European aspects into their culture. -
French Algeria (1850-1990)
Even with different ideologies, Algeria was still influenced by the French. They incorporated French influenced education, work style and spoke French. -
Cape Colony (1850-1990)
Much of the culture that emerged in the Cape Colony was centralized around British settlers, Dutch influences, and native culture. Due to diamond production, it is apparent that the natives and British settlers intermingled.
