Day 1
One the first day of the crisis was that Presidant John F Kennedy got word that the Soviet Union was sending nuclear weapons to Cuba. They found this out by flying spy planes over Cuba. -
Day 2
On the second of the crisis John F. Kenedy meet with people to discuss the problem in Cuba. They learned that the Missles had a capability to reach very long range. -
Day 3
The presidant meets with the Soviets and advises him that they will not tolerate any misses that are in Cuba. The Soviets deny that they have given Cuba any Missles. -
Day 4
The presidant meets with the secretary of defense and different military people to discuss what to do over the Missles crisis. They send ships to Cuba to prevent them from getting launching materials but they call it a quarantine and not a blockade because a blockade is a form of war. -
Day 5
Kennedy discuss the issue further at the White House. They begin to start a quarantine to stop the Soviets. -
Day 6
They begin to setup the blockade to stop the Soviets. Kennedy also gives a Speach to America which is one of the most important speeches he ever gave. -
Day 7
Kennedy gives a Speach to America which is one of the most important speeches he ever gave. He explained his plan to the American public. -
Day 8
They notice that Cuba has Missles ready for launch at the United States and they plan what to do next. -
Day 9
Soviet ships reach Cuba but are told to wait on what to do. The Soviets say that Te United States was trying to start a nuclear war by doing the quarantine. -
Day 10
Since Kennedy wasn't getting any responses from the Soviets they begin to do more fly overs on Cuba to get more information. -
Day 11
The Soviets release a letter saying that the Soviets will not attack if the United States promises not to invade Cuba. -
Day 12
The Soviets ask if the United States will remove their Missles from turkey. A spy plane was also shot down in Cuba. -
Day 13
The crisis is officially over. The Soviets have promised to remove their Missles from Cuba.
