Use of medicine and entomology
the first use of this was written in the book Xi Yuan Lu (the corronors handbook) by Song Ci and his method involved using diffrent murder weapons on animal carcases to determine what weapon was used. the book also has methods of separating strangulation from drowning for the simple fact that if a victim had water in their lungs their death was ruled an accidental drowning. -
