Asteroid Hits Earth
A major asteroid hits Earth. Many nations are completely decimated, including the U.S. A couple hundred people Americans from the west coast survive. They hop on some boats and sail across the Pacific Ocean. -
Land Ahead
The surviving Americans finally reach land. They landed on an island full of thick forests. Small ponds can be found throughout the island. Since there is so much green everywhere, the people call the island Greenlandia. -
Beginnings of Government
The new citizens of Greenlandia, called Greenlanders, have settled in. Housing has been put up. People are fishing for food. Greenlanders have spread around the island into little villages.Talk of government has started. Greenlanders think they need some order and unity. -
First Meeting is Held
Six different villages have been settled on the island. Two representatives from each village are meeting in the middle of the island. They discuss the creation of a government. -
End of Meetings
Meetings have been held for ten days. A constitution has been written and agreed upon. The government is established as a presidential democracy. -
A Rebellion Starts
One of the villages is not happy with some of the clauses in the Constitution. They gather and start to rebel against the government. The government quickly shuts it down. -
A Constitutional Meeting is Held
Representatives gather to amend the constitution. Every village agrees to the new terms. -
First President is Sworn into Office
After an election, the first president has been chosen. The government buildings are in the center of the island. Construction is almost done. The president will start their four-year term.
