He supported the violent action against the South to end slavery. He distribute the federal armory among local slaves and armed insurrection. He played a major part in starting the Civil War. -
Emmett composes song
Emmett composes a song named, "Dixie." This popular song turned into a marching song for the Confederate army during the Civil War. It is the Confederate anthem. -
Abraham Lincoln's Election
He was not including on a major amount of the Southern ballots. His party was anti-slavery and the Southerns feared them.
