    Yazoo Land Fraud was a fraud where the government got bribed to sell most of the United State's land to 4 companies for a small amount of money. As a result of the loss of land in Georgia, natives were kicked off their land to replenish the land that was lost.(New Georgia Studies Textbook)
  • Cotton Gin

    The cotton gin was an invention that could separate cotton seeds from cotton. The cotton gin made cotton production profitable, therefore; farmers planted cotton more often and farmers got more slaves to make more money and that boosted the economy up.(New Georgia Studies Textbook)

    The Land Lottery was an event where families, widows, males, and orphans got a chance to win many acres of land after the Yazoo Land Fraud.     The Creek Removal was an event where Georgia tried to kick the Creek off of their land to expand Georgia's land with treaties and other methods.     Dahlonega Gold Rush

    Gold was discovered in Dahlonega and many people tried to kick the natives out because of greed. The discovery of gold in Dahlonega caused Andrew Jackson to sign the Indian Removal Act, which would cause them to move west of the Mississippi River and farmers would use that land to grow Georgia's economy by collecting the gold.(New Georgia Studies Textbook)

    In 1832 railroads were charterd by businessmen in Athens to have a better way to transport products to many places. As a result of the use of railroads towns were being created near the railroads(More population) and Georgia had an easier,more productive, and efficient way to transport goods(Increased Georgia's economy).(New Georgia Studies Textbook)
  • Trail of Tears

    The Trail of Tears is an event where the natives had to move away from their home on a long and deadly because of the "Treaty of New Enchota". As a result of the " Trail of Tears farmers used the native's land to grow crops, increase production, and that drastically improved Georgia's economy.(New Georgia Studies Textbook)
