    Copernicus Developes Heliocentric Theory

Nicolaus Copernicus developes heliocentric theory. This theory says that the planets revolve around the sun rather than the Earth. He believed the Earth rotated on a tilted axis. One flaw in his theory was that the planets orbited in a perfect circle.
  • Isaac Newton Develops Theory

In 1687, Isaac Newton developed his theory which explained gravitation and the laws of motion. These laws explain about how things move, the speed of their movement, and the forces cause the motion. This connects to Copernicus' theory because he said that the sun was the stationary, that the planets were revolving around it, and that Earth was also rotating on an axis. The laws of motion can explain how these planets are moving.
  • Hubble Expansion

In 1929, Edwin Hubble stated that the universe in constantly expanding. He said that the further away a galaxy is, the faster it is moving away from us. This connects to Newton's Law's of Motion because with these laws of motion, we can prove that the universe is in constant motion and expanding.
  • Higgs Boson

The Higgs Boson is an elementary particle theorized in 1964 by Peter Higgs. Its existence was confirmed March 14th, 2013. It is said to be the thing that gives everything mass. It also ties along with the Big Bang Theory, which supposedly created our universe. This connects to the universe constantly expanding because without the Higgs Boson, the universe may not even have been created.
