Zheng He took his first of seven voyages around the Indian Ocean, to show how great China was, and get countries to pay tribute to trade with China. He discovered many places like the Americas but never stayed there. They were only looking for trade. -

Prince Henry Starts His First Navigation School
In order to encourage and premote exploration, Prince Henry, a parton of sailing and exploration, set up navigation schools to teach people how to sail. He taught mapmaking, sailing, and how to keep your location while on the seas. -

Ming China Adopts Isolation Policy
After the death of the Yonglo, a patron of exploration, the Ming Dynasty goes into isolation. Instead of funding resourses to build massive ships for Zheng He, the Chinese built the Great Wall. This was also to minimize European influence and trade in China. -

Columbus Lands in New World
Christopher Columbus was Italian, but wanted to explore the New World. He went to Portugal to seek funding, but was denied. When he went to Spain, his request was granted. Although he didn't find his destination of India, he lead the way for many to come the the Americas. -

Spain and Portugal Sign Treaty of Tordesillas
In order to settle the dispute of land between Spain and Portugal, Pope Alexander created The Line Of Demarcation. Portugal was uspet that they werent getting enough land, so they moved the line farther. Spain got the better deal, but it was unkown at the time how much land was acually there. -

Vasco De Gama Reaches India
Vasco De Gama was the first to go around the tip of Africa and set up a trading post in Goa, India. His route sparked many countries to start trading themselves, instead of overpaying to the Italian merchants. His trading posts set up provided a place to reload their cargo on the way back to Europe. -
Tokugawa Ieyasu Becomes Shogun of Japan
After Toyotomi Hideyoshi dies, Tokagawa finishes the unification process of Japan, and becomes the first Shogun. He moves the capital to Edo, or present day Tokyo. In order to stay in control, he made the Diamyo ruling part of Japan visit him every other year. This was called alternate attendance policy -
Manchus Establish Qing Dynasty
During the decay of the Ming Dynasty, the Manchus from the north, invaded the Ming Dynasty, and set up their new Qing dynasty. They would be the largest, longest, and last dynasty of power. They spread their empire bigger than ever, including Tibet and Korea.
