American businesses are feeling less welcome in China. The U.S. Trade Deficit Shrinks—Except With China
The overall U.S. trade deficit in both goods and services was $40.5 billion in July down from June, but up $1.1 billion from a year earlier. The July deficit with China in goods was $30.9 billion, vs. a previous high of $30.6 billion.

Health spending on the rise
Health care is geetting more expensive and making it harder for people to pay for it, like those of low income. Medicare spending growth slowed from 4.8% in 2012 to 3.3% last year.
