Leo refuses the offer but the mirror spits out a feather. Before the figure could explain, Leo covers it, viewing it as a waste of time.

Unannounced to Leo, the feather was absorbed into his soul and was a Soul pact created with the figure, Oberon.

Brunhilda battles the Demon general Gin. To spice up the battle, they create a pact that the loser must give all information on their sides tactics and key figures.

During the battle, Gin is mostly decimating Brunhilda but is disappointed as Hilda wasn't using her ability.

The battle finally ends as Brunhilda is able to a decisive blow on Gin's liver and her temple.

Astara tells Ashbourne to free a mechanical machine named Djinn and the Guardian of NEST, Bhramari from their eternal imprisonment within the prison of Astara.

Ashbourne is attacked by a group of assassins. Ashbourne survives the attack, killing all but one, a man with a black-as-night cloak. Knowing the Star-ripper's did this, Ashbourne tells the sole survivor, “Tell the people who hired you. That this is their final warning. That if they do this again, I will tear out their hearts just like I did their son!” Ashbourne leaves with a new coat.

Ashbourne has his Ritual of growth, bathing and being marked in the blood of Astara. Ashbourne awakes in a void-like realm where he meets Astara.

Ashbourne awakens once more in the void, meeting Astara. Astara explains that this void is the Astral realm and that she has chosen Ashbourne be her consort, her messenger and warrior.

That in return he would obtain her flames and she would give him advice on his journey.

Ashbourne thinks and eventually accepts the pack, obtaining her flames.

The clash of the Lion’s and the Dragon

Attor arrives within the castle hall, Highwind leaves Leo behind in fear of her own death, betraying Leo.

Leo battles Attor alone, betrayed by his friend.

All hope is not lost, as Albus arrives. Before realising, Albus slashes off Leo’s Royal arm, severing his connection with Aura.

Leo uses his rage and magic power to fend off both his attackers but eventually falls in battle, dying.

Leonardo is killed by Attor and Albus Lionheart.

Within a void, Leo finally meets the spirit within the mirror, Oberon. Oberon tells Leo he was the guardian of Elysium, the land of the faeries and peace. Oberon reveals that the feather he gave Leo was a single feather from his robe, that he placed a pact on. Oberon's pact now activates, allowing him to possess Leo’s body after death and in return, reborn Leo’s soul in another body but lose all his memories and sometime before his death.

Ashbourne leaves the area, slaughtering all through sword swings but one.

Vespenato hung from a spear of stone that plunged through his chest, displaying his heart for whoever to find.

As Ashbourne walked, he spotted a hut and went inside, finding enslaved Dragonkin. They all cheered as Ashbourne freed them from their owners. From their eternal bonding's.

"I'm not your saviour! I'm not here to become your false hope, some replacement to our mother Astara! Take arms in your strength and never let this happen again!" Turning he utters, "The path will only grow more difficult from here."

As if they didn't listen, they called him "The liberator".

Pushing a giant door, Diabolo's scourge arrive within a giant throne room. In the room, a horde of Wyverns awaited.

Seeing the opportunity to see the true strength of his allies. Djinn and Bhramari battle the beasts, slaying the horde in less than a couple minutes.

After slaying them all, Ashbourne sits on the throne, teleported away.

The Dragon's bane battles the Dragon's will

Ashbourne appears within a underground cavern with a Nest at the centre. Additionally, Custos was there. Custos “The immortal” battles Ashbourne “The dragons bane”.

As Custos was immortal, Ashbourne plunged Daarken down its throat, manipulating the mana inside and around it, burning and cauterizing Custos completely. Ashbourne wins.

Ash retrieves a dragon egg from the Nest of Astara, learning that this is the last Dragon egg in existence. Ashbourne is then teleported back to the throne.

Ashbourne uses the power of Astara and Bahamut to engulf Garuda within her own finds, a circulation of carbon dioxide. As Garuda suffocated to death, Ashbourne laughed realising that knowledge and power come hand in hand, Leonardo and himself are the same coin but different sides.

At the end of the battle, Bahamut consumes both rider and dragon.

In a pinch, Bhramari uses the maximum output of her ability, transforming into a giant spider. She then births a army of soldiers that are mixtures of various insects and monsters she's eaten.

Shuten is forced to stop using his daggers but his ability.

Shuten kills Bhramari by grazing her with Astara's crunch and decapitating her, adding her soul to his collection. Even though he won, he was heavily damaged.

After the death of Bhramari, the portal collapses, sealing the Diablos duo within.

Astara reveals the truth

Astara reveals that her first consort was the warrior that fell her. He betrayed her and tarnished the name of the dragons.

She feels turmoil for him as he did it in fear.

She also reveals her wish for her new found Consort was to create a warrior strong enough to slay and protect the land from evil, a warrior of flames.

Ashbourne disregards this and says the quest was aimless, a waste of time. He vows to rule the world with his new found powers.

The sense of dread

Ashbourne, Djinn and Bahamut are stranded within the void as they realise the portal has collapsed.

The party has realised that either Bhramari accidently closed the portal or if something bad happened.

Bahamut begins harnessing his new found powers from the dragon and Gideon.

The battle commences at Strax as Ryoko shows her power to Gaiandra, removing the gasoline from the water, turning it blue once more and launching it at the stronghold. Highwind retaliates by catching the oil and throwing it away so that it cannot be used against them.

The troops collide, Gaiandra have more soldiers but are vast weaker than a average Demon or Dragonkin

Bahamut's training is complete

At the crack of night, Ashbourne and Djinn arrive within Strax from a crack in the Aether flux. Seeing the abundance of enemies before him, Ashbourne raises his hand, using his new found power for the first time.

With a snap, he releases a fully grown black dragon, Bahamut, with red highlights even under its scales, adorn with wine red horns and smouldering ruby eyes.

The 2 Demon generals are killed by Bahamut and Ashbourne while Ryoko fled along with her army out of Strax.

The flame trio returns to NEST, finding its destruction and of the death of Bhramari. Djinn sets a pyre of purple flames for her as Ashbourne claims her continent as his own to rule.

Ashbourne meets with Oberon. Oberon explains to Ashbourne what happened, that he was attacked by Amon, Ashbourne is Leonardo and that Shuten is after his soul.

Ashbourne already knows that he was Leonardo and regrets his own actions as it was what he wanted to be but not become.

Oberon gifts Elysium and his crown as king to Ashbourne, joining his party.

The reunion of siblings

Leonardo breaks free and takes control.

They spend the night catching up and shedding tears of joy and pain.

At the end, Ashbourne regains control but has his mind mixed and altered with Leo's.

Leonardo confronts Ashbourne within. They both come to the conclusion that they are the same person that they need each other to grow and live. Leo takes the power of Ashbourne, himseld and Bahamut onto the forge. Combing all 3 into one.

While merging, Leo realises that he has the strength of allies made along the way when he consumed them with Bahamut.

Leonardo is reborn as a Human and Dragonkin hybrid allowing him to use magic, aura and a Dragon will.

The battle of the Lords

Shuten-dōji battles The dark lord.

The battle is stated to be the greatest duel in history, forbid spells were casted and ancient techniques were shown to the world once more. During the battle Shuten loses a arm and leg while the Dark lord loses her right torso.

Shuten-dōji wins, claiming the soul of the Dark lord, using her magical prowess to heal his wounds.

Now with an entity of healing, Shuten doesn't need to rest after battle and can now attack Gaiandra to claim Adam's soul next.

Claire's plan

Brunhilda devises a plan to defeat Shuten.

1. Claire will remove the barrier around Gaiandra.
2. Claire will remove the concept of death and strain from 4 selected individuals, putting it onto herself.
3. The first selected 2, will have the goal of attacking and whittering away at Shuten, to severely weaken him.
4. The last 2 will stay by Claire for when Shuten realises and goes after her they can protect her.
5. If the plan fails, then the remaining must slay Shuten themselves.
