  • Suez Crisis

    Suez Crisis
    Israeli armed forces pushed into Egypt toward the Suez Canal after Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser nationalized the canal in July of that same year.

  • Six Day War

    In 1967 Egypt demanded that the UN has to remove its troops from Gaza and the Sinai Peninsula. Egyptian troops then moved into the Sinai and began to close off Gulf of Aqaba, Israel’s route to the Red Sea. Expecting a large-scale Arab attack, Israel decided to strike first.

    Egypt and Syria surprise attacked Israel hopes winning their territory back. This war gets its name from the Jewish holy day when the attack begun.

  • Camp David Accords

    This was a pease agreement suggested by the Egyptian president Anwar Sadat. He made history when he said he wanted to make peace with Israel.

  • Israeli Invasion of Lebanon

    The Lebanon War began as what was supposed to be a short-term military operation. The operation was called Operation Peace for Galilee.The purpose of it was to destroy militant infrastructure on the Lebanese-Israeli border.
