Camp David Accords
Anwar Sadat and Menachem Begin reached an agreement. In this agreement Egypt recognized Israel and Israel returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt. -
Intifada
Palestinian resentment boiled over into a rebellion. During this Palestinian youths battled Israeli troops which resulted in widespread street violence.
