    In 1967 Egypt demanded that the Un remove its troops from Gaza and the Sinai Peninsula. This caused Israel to launch air strike attacks against Egypt

  • Tim Kippur War

    Tim Kippur War
    Egypt and Syria had lost their territory to Israel and they were determined to get it back. So in this war Egypt and Syria launched a surprise attack against Israel.

  • Cease Fire

    Cease Fire
    At first Arabs had gains in the war Israel was not ready for the attack and needed military support. With US support Israel pushed back Egyptian forces and later both sides agreed to cease fire.

  • Camp David Accords

    Camp David Accords
    Anwar Sadat and Menachem Begin reached an agreement. In this agreement Egypt recognized Israel and Israel returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt.

  • Intifada

    Intifada
    Palestinian resentment boiled over into a rebellion. During this Palestinian youths battled Israeli troops which resulted in widespread street violence.
