Conflict begins
Egypt takes hold of the Suez Canal. this cuts off trade and travel between the Red Sea and The Mediteranean Sea, and prompts the start of the war. -
Israel responds to Eqypt
Israel launches an attack in response. They attack the Sinai Peninsula and advance on the Suez Canal. -
Arab/Israeli War of 1967
The war begins again and fearing an attack, Israel strikes first, calling in air strikes to the enemy sites. Foot soldiers successfully defeat Arab forces. -
6 day war
Eqpty attacks, and this is the start of the 6 day war, as Israeli troops hold off the Egyptians for 6 days. Finally Egypt declares a cease of fire. -
Yom KIppur
In typical classy fashion of Eqyptians, they attack on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year. After the surprise attack, the israelis hold off the Eqyptians, and once again, the Eqyptians cease fire. A declaration of peace ensues -
Peace
After 30 years of fighting, Israel and Eqypt agree to sign a peace treaty which establishes commercial and diplomatic arrangements.
