The Arab-Israeli War began in 1948 after the british mandate over Palestine expired.The Jewish People's council came together to create an establishment of a Jewish state.The declaration was brought out by David Ben-Gurion, a member of the World Zionist Organization. The Arab government said that they believed they had to intervene to save the peace and order in Palestine. -

Suez Crisis
After Egypt stopped allowing Israeli's to ship stuff the Suez Canal Israel striked back by invadidng the Sinai Peninsula and the Gaza strip with the help of British and French armies. The United States and the United Nations cretated a cease fire between the two and Israel backed off of Egyptian territory. -
Yom Kippur War
Syria and Egypt created a surprise attack Israel in hopes to get the territories that Israel stole back. This war happened on Yom Kippur the holiest day on the Jewish calendar. -
Camp David Accords
The Camp David Accords happened in Maryland when the Egyptian President Anwar El Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem signed a peace treaty. In this peace treaty it stated that Egypt was given back the Sinai Peninsula and Israel kept the Gaza strip. -
First Intifada
The first Intifada was a protest against Israeli repression. It lead to Plalestinian youths attacking and killing Jews in broad daylight, becasuse Palestinians did not have better working conditions than the Israelis and lots of them had to go to Israel for work.
