The conflict began when five Arab nations invaded Israel. Israel had just been made official the day before. -
United nations troops asked to move
Egypt demanded that the United Nations moved their troops. When they finally agreed Egypt sent in troops and blocked Irael's route to the red sea. -
Six-day war begins
Israel launched air strikes against Egypt, Syria, and Jordan. Israel did suprisingly well in this war that lasted six days. -
Ceasefire.
Israel and Eygpt called a ceasefire as the war was going nowhere. This was a big thing for Israel as they were able to defend their land. -
Negotiating the end
POL leader Yasser and Israel prim mininister Yitzhak, negotiated with Oslo to end violence for good. This prosses took years before the treaty was signed
