Treblinka is Liquidated by Nazis
In an effort to cover up their mass murder, the Nazis destroy and hide a majority of the dead bodies. This camp was then closed. It wasn't until later after the war that archeologists discovered the barial site where many bodies were. They realized it was an extermination camp. -
Auschwitz is Liberated
This camp was one of the worst places for the people to go to. Here, it was a death camp and a concentration camp. In the end, it is the Soviets who come to their rescue. It is estimated that more about 1,100,000 people were killed here. -
Dachau is Liberated
The Americans come to the rescue to liberate this camp! Although it was a concentration camp, and not a death camp, over 32,000 people were killed here. -
All Camps Are Gone
In this last year, the Soviets work hard to liberate the many camps. This includes Auschwitz and Dachau.
