John Van Geen of Stanford, vastly imnproved the modem, by way of increasing the amount of information, that could be processed through. -

At the time, he was apparently working on a project for the miltary. -

Microsoft OS
The Microsoft based Operating system, becomes the main OS, for a newly released series of IBM computers, which were designed for offices. -
Iomega ZIP
The Iomega zip disk is released, at the time, it was only capable of accepting floppy disks with a capacity of 100 MB, but later versions had a capacity of 2 GB -

For my first computer, I had a stained, white finished, 1993 Gateway computer, with DOS installed, and a couple of games like Kid Pix, and Doom. -
