USB Flash Drives
USBs, or a Universal Serial Bus is used to connect cables and connectors between computers, where a USB flash drive is used for data storage with a USB plug. They come in handy when transferring data, instead of having to burn a CD. The first sold was 128 megabytes and was around $30. The exact inventor isn't known, but it is known that Masuoka patented flash memory earlier on before M-Systems patented the drive and later released it in 2000. -

Microsoft had the idea to create a Windows-inspired game console, making Microsoft further competitive with Playstation, Nintendo, and Sony. It's wide popularity is mostly due to the game Halo. -

Hadoop was an open-source software used to store and organize large amounts of data productively. It uses multiple parallel computers instead of just one to store data. This was invented by Google to extract smaller search results from its vast amount of information. Not only Google used this, companies like Youtube and Yahoo utilized this tool as well. -

The Macbook Air was released by Apple as being the first compact notebook and the thinnest in the whole world. It had a built in camera and actually used a SSD (Solid State Drive) over a HDD (Hard Disk Drive) so that it could be thinner. -
Apple iPad Released
The first iPad is released by Apple as having all the capabilities of an iPhone: the touchscreen, built in camera, and games, just no phone. It does, however, have a 9-inch screen that grew popular for those who wanted to make music, movie, or art at the touch of a screen.
