FORTRAN invented
John Backus and IBM invent the first FORTRAN machine. FORTRAN, or formula translation, translates machine language into human language, and vice versa. -
First Computer Game Invented
Spacewar, the first computer game, is invented. This inspired many more computer games to come about. -
ARPAnet
The first for of internet, ARPAnet, comes out. Originally came out to transfer information throughout certain commanders in the military. Used to keep other spies out. -
Intel RAM
Intel came out with the first RAM drive. Intel 1103 DRAM chip. Invented to make more money, and not for advancement in the technology field. -
The first word processor
Wordstar was the first word processor invented and sold. It helped people complete documents. -
Computer War
Windows was most popular because everyone had one and that was the original. Then came Apple, or Macintosh, which introduced a nice looking computer with the same programs, just different layout.
